Race at Silverstone and interview with Martin Tolley
A very happy Martin Tolley punches the air to celebrate his best ever result.
First race of the 2014 season at Silverstone. It was a great result for Martin coming 2nd in the first round and 3rd in the second round. Currently running in 2nd place with an overall points score of 196. We wish you all the best for Angleysey on the 10th and 11th of May 2014 for the second race of the season.
ANGLESEY 10th - 11th May 2014
Unfortunately disaster stuck this weekend at Anglesey. Qualifying was perfect and Martin managed a fourth position on the grid but all soon changed on the first race of the weekend. Martin was pushed off the track by an inexperienced driver and causing damage to the chassis, drivers door and wing - off for some jigging, filling and painting. This is supposed to be a contact less sport - when will the BRSCC clamp down on drivers who deliberately break the rules?
CADWELL PARK 14-15th June 2014
Cadwell saw a bad crash for Kevin Brent. Thankfully he made it out in one piece with minor cuts and bruises. Martin Tolley qualified well and ended up with a 5th, 6th & 7th across three races. Handling issues were worked on to try and improve position and a new exhaust fitted to increase power ready for Oulton Park.
Crash that stopped the race at Cadwell Park
OULTON PARK 28th June 2014
James Blake-Baldwin laid down a marker at Oulton Park on Saturday with two wins from two to increase his lead at top of the points standings. With the Oulton double-header completing the first half of the season, James’ rivals cannot afford to let him get too far ahead as the second half of the campaign unfolds.
Car 23 engineers played around with the cars set up and Martin qualified fourth. Unfortunately Martin lost control of the car and ended up in the tyre wall at Druids, the safety car comes out whilst the Tolley car is removed and Martin had to retire from the rest of the day due to continued handling problems.
